Beautiful motel, nicely located close to the town centre meant everything was just minutes away. The room itself was very spacious and the beds were more than comfy. The view of Mount Tasman and Mount Cook from the room was to die for. The covered car parking just next to the house was an added bonus. The laundry was just a unit away making it very accessible. The two friendly dogs - Tarn and Beamish - were the centre of attraction for our kids who loved playing with them all day long. We have some very fond memories of this place. The staff was very warm, helpful and proactive in restocking the items even before we asked them which was in complete contrast to our experience in so many other places in NZ. Overall, this might be the best motel in the Fox Glacier and we certainly are looking forward to staying here on our next trip.

We had a fantastic stay at Mt Cook View Motel! The location is ideal, with beautiful views of the snowy mountains and perfect weather to enjoy them. The owner was incredibly amiable, going above and beyond by preparing our room in advance—he even turned on the heater and lights to welcome us, making it feel cozy right from the start. We appreciated the flexibility with check-in and check-out times, which made our stay even more relaxing. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a heater and an electric blanket, perfect for the chilly evenings. Parking was a breeze, right in front of our room. The owner also suggested a great spot to visit nearby, which really made our trip memorable. We highly recommend Mt Cook View Motel for its warm hospitality, convenience, and incredible mountain views!

My stay at Mount Cook View Motel in Fox Glacier was really enjoyable. Matthew and Hannah are very friendly and welcoming hosts, and make you feel at home right from the start. The accommodation is first class with all of the essential amenities provided within a very comfortable and modern motel room. The motel itself is within a short driving distance to the main attraction of the area including Lake Matheson, Lake Gault, Gillespies Beach and the Fox Glacier views. I would recommend Mount Cook View Motel to anyone who just wants a few nights at Fox Glacier, or like me would like to spend a week surrounded by the stunning mountain scenery of the West Coast.

I'm very grateful and appreciative of the lovely reception lady, whose name is Renata. I left my headphones in the bed and realised it only the next day, when we were hundreds of miles away. I wrote to the motel and got a response immediately. The lady promised to send the headphones back to my UK address! I was very happy as the headphones were a gift from my brother. I offered to pay for the delivery, but when I got it, it turned out the postage had already been made. I was really amazed at the great service! We also loved the location of the motel, and the views were magnificent.

This. Otel exceeded our expectations. It was well placed just outside of town to be silent with little to no passing traffic at night. The staff were lovely, the room was spotless and the room size was … large! Comfy settee in the room topped off the comfort score. The motel is set an easy and flat footpath walk 25 minutes into town or a 2. Inure drive. The view from our window was gorgeous. We stayed two nights and could easily have stayed a week. Well done to the current managers of the property.
